Pretty Little Liar Premiere and Economic Investments

Today, I watched the Pretty Little Liar winter season premiere! At this point, Mona and Toby are revealed to be part of the A team. I am an avid fan. I really am. But I'm starting to realize the show is getting a bit cheesy and I've already said before that this series is being drawn out. I do expect another person to be revealed by the end of the season. But by then, this series should be nearly over... please no plot twists. I'm starting to feel that the show is just lying to me now. And since it is drawn out, I can't remember what happened last season anymore.

Usually I have a large PLL party of about 8-10 people where we eat pizza and watch together. Since some are already back at college for spring semester and most were busy. I ended up watching with just Anjali. And I'm glad it happened that way. I forgot how long it has been since Anjali and I have even hung out! I realized that whenever she would come over to watch, I never really spoke to her. Honestly, heart to hearts are the best. And the best way to rekindle old friendships.

Today, I went back to high school to participate in a quiz bowl alumni verses current members. I do miss high school. I really do. My last bits of high school were the best part. Senior year was the epitome of my high school years. Any time before that basically doesn't count for me. In my head anyways. But anyways. Onward and onward, we go.

The way I look at friendships is similar to the way I look at investments. Friendships are valuable. Different friendships with different people have different values. Some more valuable than others. To me, time invested directly relates to the value. Friendships that I have invested most of my high school career seem to have irrevocably forgotten. Under-prioritized. Undervalued. I mean, these things were bound to happen. That's not what I see as the problem. Time apart was not on my side. Time did not make the heart grow fonder. What it seems to me is that time only did one thing - depreciate my investments.

Gingerbread Tree!!

This morning I woke up to get ready for church and I looked in the mirror and saw some really bad eye bags. I have been getting plenty of sleep but on top of that I've been trying out this anti-puff and dark circle remover cream. Either I'm just waking up with a puffy face or the eye cream is reacting with the skin under my eyes. Although I do see less dark circles, the puffiness I wake up to is still menacing.

I went to church with my family and went to Red Lobster for lunch. When I came home I had a few friends over to watch the Hangover (unrated version) and decorate this long overdue gingerbread tree. I think it came out pretty well. Although the gingerbread cookies weren't very appetizing... they never really are. The day went by quickly and it's just hours away from New Year's Eve!

Yesterday all day I was in my bed reading Divergent. I couldn't stop reading it. So, today I got to use my Kindle 4 for the first time and read Insurgent! I'm excited for her third book to come out which is supposed to come out this coming year. Hopefully Insurgent is as good as the first book!

MARK'S BIRTHDAY WOOT

Today was pretty busy. This morning my mom and I headed out to the mall to check out the after Christmas sales and see if we can buy any Christmas gifts. My family doesn't really do the big parties on Christmas. We just all wait until New Year's. And I would say our shopping trip was pretty successful since we bought about 4/7 gifts. Once we got out of the mall it was snowing like crazy! Traffic turned our 15 minute ride home to 30 minutes. Today was Mark's birthday!! So a group of my friends ate at a small restaurant to celebrate :)

I had a weird encounter with a cat today. My neighbor has a cat and ever since I can remember the cat practically lived outside. I think it even reverted back to its wild instincts. My first memory of that cat was when I was playing in my backyard and there was a little toddler player in my neighbor's backyard. The toddler tried to make his way back to the house but the cat didn't let him on the deck to get into the house. The toddler would run try to dodge it but the cat would run faster than him and hiss at him. The toddler cried and eventually the mother came and carried him into the house. But I swear that cat is crazy. I remember times where I would find the cat chillin under my cars like it owns the place. I've also seen it kill birds and eat it and drink from the rain water puddles after a rain shower. But today as I was getting out of my car and walking towards my front door, I saw that cat run at me, then past me, then cuddle up under the car near where the engine would be. I realized it has been snowing and the cat must be cold so it realized that the car generates warmth. I mean I wouldn't blame it. The wind is strong tonight and the ground must be ice cold. Poor cat :(

Photos above are a box of lindor chocolates that my mom's company gifted to their employees for Christmas! Yummy!
