Another Soho trip

This past Friday, Mark and I headed to Soho to spend time together and shop around. Around this time of summer, a lot of stores mark down most of their clothes. So we visited stores like Zara, Topshop, Aritzia, and a couple of boutiques in hopes of scoring some really good deals. Surprisingly, I couldn't find anything I really loved in the sales this year. I ended up just making a couple purchases at the new Brandy Melville on Broadway.

The highlight of our trip ended up being the food we ate. We had some pizza covered in vodka sauce which was good but nothing too extraordinary. Then we headed to the infamous Rice to Riches and Mark had some mascarpone flavored rice pudding with some cherries. It was an interesting flavor but I'm not sure if rice pudding is really my dessert of choice. I opted for some delicious cupcakes from baked by melissa instead!

Welcoming February

It's finally February and the weather has finally given us a break here on the east coast. Even though it's a high of 30 degrees and to some of you that may mean tundra, for us it's a nice, comfortable winter temperature. To be honest, it kind of feels like spring compared to the last couple weeks where it was a high of just a mere 9 degrees.

But that being said. As the weather slowly gets warmer, I'm getting more and more excited for the spring trends this season. I've been in love with harem pants since last spring but the trend hasn't started an uprising until this year. If you haven't given them a try they're absolutely the most comfortable dress up or dress down staple that can be worn at almost any occasion. I love how stores are coming out with them in sweats versions and patterned chiffon versions that can easily make them dressier.

But another fashion trend that I'm in love for spring are strappy bralettes! They'll pair off with low arm holes and open low back tops! They can be easily found at any store but some of my favorites are the rose lace bralettes by Victoria's Secret PINK and the strappy bralettes from Brandy Melville USA.

Unfortunately, Punxsutawney Pete predicted 6 more weeks of winter. So I'll have to wait a little while longer to wear my favorite fashion trends.

Why, hello old sport

Today's weather was absolutely gorgeous and just perfect. Unfortunately, I had a weird case of cramps all day due to mother nature and I wasn't really able to enjoy the weather as much. I spent my morning in bed and stayed pretty much in bed until I had to go to work. Since I've been working I've been slowly appreciating my days off which I definitely need to take advantage of and use it to spend time with people.

I'm dying to go somewhere with the family for a week just to get away from everything and enjoy summer. I still need to go to the city and cross some things off my nonexistent "to-do" list. I also want to visit the Brandy Melville in Soho.

I need to get back into reading my Kindle because I have a couple books I haven't gotten to yet and there's already a bunch of other books I'm dying to read. I'm also looking to buy an iPad soon... But with the Apple convention next week, I'm anticipating a new product or upgrade. As a dedicated Android user, it's hard for me to leave Android but what I've noticed is that picture quality and the software interface are the two most important things to me that I don't want to sacrifice. So I'm really hoping Apple brings out some heavy competition to combat the Samsung Galaxy S4 so that it'll sway me either way.
